Wash Care
WASH CARE
We make our pieces with love, and a little extra care helps them stay beautiful for longer. Please follow the care instructions below to preserve the colours, prints, detailing and craftsmanship of your Dori pieces.
01 — COTTONS, PRINTS & HAND-CRAFTED PIECES
Most of our pieces are made in pure cotton and feature a beautiful mix of Jaipuri machine prints, block prints and hand-painted details.
- Jaipuri machine-printed cottons can be comfortably washed in your regular washing machine.
- Block-printed pieces should always be hand-washed gently with a mild detergent.
- Hand-painted pieces require extra love — please hand-wash them gently with a small amount of mild detergent.
Avoid harsh detergents, bleach and vigorous scrubbing to keep your prints looking their best.
02 — DUPATTAS
Our cotton printed dupattas can be easily washed in your regular washing machine.
However, dyed chiffon and georgette dupattas should always be hand-washed separately and gently.
Since these are dyeable fabrics, a little colour bleeding during the first wash is completely normal. To protect your other garments, please never wash a dyed chiffon or georgette dupatta together with your suit or other clothing, especially during the first few washes.
03 — EMBROIDERY & MIRROR WORK
For our embroidered and mirror-work fabrics, a little extra care goes a long way.
Please turn the garment inside out before washing and gently hand-wash it using a small amount of mild detergent.
Avoid soaking, vigorous rubbing, wringing or harsh washing, as these may affect the embroidery, mirrors or delicate detailing.
A LITTLE LOVE GOES A LONG WAY ♡
Treat your Dori pieces gently, and they’ll keep bringing colour, craft and desi charm to your wardrobe for a long time.
